About Lombard, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
The Village of Lombard is a Chicago suburb located in DuPage County. As of 2017, nearly 44,000 people called Lombard home, and the community is served by the Glenbard Township High School District. Lombard residents have easy access to the Union Pacific/West Line of the Metra, and the village is most well-known for its annual Lilac Festival. Hosted for 16 days each May, this event has been held every year since 1930.
There are plenty of things to do in Lombard. There are numerous stores at Yorktown Center, and other commercial centers in the village include High Point Center, Lombard Pines, and Fountain Square. The Noon Whistle Brewing Company is a great place to try local beers, and a full meal can be enjoyed at The Capital Grille, Bricks Wood Fired Pizza, or Jerusalem Café. Outdoor recreation is also plentiful in Lombard at destinations like Lilacia Park, Madison Meadow, and Sunset Knoll Park, and golf enthusiasts can hit the links at Western Acres Golf Course.
Lombard is well-known for its seasonal weather conditions, including hot and humid summer months. From June through August, average daily highs stay in the 80s, and rainy weather with severe storms is also possible. Most residents invest in central air conditioning rather than window units to provide more uniform cooling. An experienced Lombard HVAC specialist can also provide the routine service and maintenance needed to keep these units in proper working order.
Winter weather in Lombard is drastically different from summer conditions. Thermostat readings drop to average highs in the 30s, while overnight lows plummet even further. Snowy conditions are also possible, and although rare, blizzards have made their way into the area in the past. Fortunately, the right electric or forced air furnace allows Lombard homeowners to properly condition and filter the air in their homes. Most new furnace systems are also equipped with dehumidification, which removes indoor contaminates as well as humidity problems that may lead to health complications and property damage.
